Commonly found in drier regions of Oregon, Washington and northern California sugar pine and ponderosa pine are the largest of the pine species. The wood of sugar pine is somewhat softer than that of ponderosa pine. Both species are highly valued in remanufacturing industries such as moulding and millwork, doors and windows.
Patrick Lumber deals primarily in higher grades, used in interior applications, such as windows and moulding.
